Vehicles in film get their very own moment of fame and are often spoken about among fans for years to come. There have been some extremely recognisable and celebrated cars on the big screen over the years, but here are just a few of our favourites.

Starting off with one of the most recognisable of them all, the famed 1981 DeLorean DMC-12. This iconic and loved car was the focus of the Back to the Future franchise and took Doc and Marty on many terrific time-travelling adventures.

The stainless steel, futuristic-looking vehicle is instantly recognisable and many fans have tried to recreate this iconic car for themselves. Despite being not so popular when it was first released in the 80s, it’s now a coveted classic among film fanatics.

The Ectomobile, 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor which featured in the first two installations of the Ghostbusters franchise is almost as famous as the ghostbusters themselves. Its well-known look and ghostly paint job are a favourite among ghoul-hunting film fans.

To this day this car remains a firm favourite, with many toys and display models being created. Fans collect versions of the vehicle and have enormous collections of memorabilia to commemorate this iconic film series.

And finally, we have the Land Rover Defender, which has been featured in many Bond films over the years. This classic vehicle is loved by many and is often seen on the roads as it is not only a favourite of 007, but of many people across the globe.

This vehicle has been featured in Bond films for as long as we can remember and still appears to this day, as we have in the most recently released James Bond film ‘No Time To Die’. The Land Rover Defender remains a tried and trusted classic.
