No Time To Die Land Rovers To Be Auctioned

No Time To Die was the last of the Daniel Craig Bond Films and while many fans will have been most struck by the unprecedented killing of the famous secret agent or the various echoes of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, 4×4 fans will have most enjoyed the Land Rovers and Jaguars used in chase scenes set in Italy and Norway.

Those same vehicles are set to make the move from the silver screen to someone’s collection, as a Stunt Defender 110 with VIN 007, Range Rover Sport SVR and Jaguar XF are all to be sold at auction to raise money for the British Red Cross. A UK specification Defender V8 Bond Edition will also be up for sale in aid of the Tusk conservation charity.

The event will be held at Christie’s in London on September 28th, with entry by invitation only, Land Rover announced. However, the vehicles will be on public view from September 15th to 28th with free entry, so those who want to pop in for a look will have all the time in the world to do so.

Whoever buys the Land Rovers may need some 4×4 spare parts, especially if they ever try to drive one of them in the same hair-raising fashion seen in the film. It should be noted, of course, that none of the vehicles come with bullet-proof windows or machine guns concealed behind the headlights.

Hefty purchase prices running into the hundreds of thousands are expected, so the average 4×4 fan may have to make do with a preview or memories of the film. But many will have already been happy enough to see Land Rovers playing such a big role in a franchise normally associated most with Aston Martins.

Still, there is a first time for everything; even Bond discovering he has a daughter and being blown up.
